After Owls, runs every school day from 3:05 - 4:30 PM, serving students in Kindergarten through Grade 6.​ Led by talented coaches, charismatic actors, brilliant artists, dancers, and supportive teachers, these programmatic workshops foster friendships within a grade level, beyond the students’ homeroom classmates. Snack is provided daily, directly after school. ​

Students can jump-start their homework in a comfortable, focused setting. Students may also enjoy independent reading time or other quiet academic practices. This program will provide students with the structure they need to complete their assignments alongside guidance from a teacher. Beyond the academic focus time, students will have opportunities for movement breaks outside of the Homework Club classroom to allow them to unwind from their school day alongside this group of peers.

Splat Jr with SplatLab

Splat Lab is a unique and highly engaging class that combines Play, Art, STEM, and Creativity into one magical experience. With four stations, we always have cool new projects every semester, so kids always have something new to look forward to. We start each session with a welcome circle, after which students choose a station to work in for that session. The “main splat” stations include fun things like fizzing rainbows, splat silly puddy, and rainbow sand. “Open Splats” include activities like tube creatures, rainbow scratch crowns, magnetic rods and balls, and cup castles. We end with a closing circle to reflect on the fun and give shout-outs. 

Junior Owlympians with Coach Luis

Coordination, confidence-building, and movement development are the foundation of this non-stop fun program. Fashion is an important form of self-expression and creativity for children, even at an early age. This class will focus on learning about textiles, styles, patterns, basic design skills, and hand sewing. We will work on crafts together throughout the course and begin to develop our sense of style and confidence. We will present what we have been working on at the end of the semester with a "fashion show" for our parents and caregivers.

Cooking with Dante and Milena

Dante and Milena return to continue sharing their joyful love of cooking! Each week, they will provide a planned lesson featuring delicious recipes such as pizza, brownies, and grilled cheese. Students will have the opportunity to influence the program by suggesting recipes for the following week. Students will learn essential cooking techniques and skills each week, including chopping, sautéing, and baking. Once their creations are complete, there will be time to enjoy the dishes in class or share them with parents and caregivers upon pick-up.

Wicked! Fun Dance with DramaZone

Your friends will be green with envy as we learn cool dance moves straight from the hit show Wicked and the new movie musical. We hitch-kick our way to “Dancing Through Life” and perform grapevines, box steps, and pencil turns, not just for “One Short Day” but also in an exciting semester filled with Wicked fun!  This class performs dances for friends and family at the end of the semester. Join us as we use the “magic” of theater to explore this Wizarding World. Using the Harry Potter series as a springboard, we will generate original stories and rehearse scripted scenes from the films. Robot Builders by Brooklyn Robot Foundry

This ceramics and pottery program will truly be hands-on! Adventures in Animation with CinemaKidz

Explore the wide world of stop-motion animation with CinemaKidz! Children utilize various materials to build props, characters, and fantastical mini-movie sets to feature in original stop-motion animation films. Experiment with combining live action with animation and effects, like drawing on each frame and utilizing green screens and stock footage. Children learn to create their own sounds and special effects to add to their shorts as they work in post-production, finishing their animated shorts. Kids will explore various stop-motion and digital animation techniques and create various 2D and 3D projects.

Superhero Films with CinemaKidz

It's a bird, it's a plane, it's a Superkid!! Join CinemaKidz as we invent, design, and become an original superhero to star in a short film! Participants will begin with drafting up a look and power for their hero. Using the CinemaKidz costume kit, children will then learn to create a costume and build props for their original character. After storyboarding a short film and drafting a comic, kids will learn to use a green screen and film a short video to star in! Participants will learn how to add special effects and bring their characters to life for the big screen as they create their superhero action films.

Hip Hop/K-Pop Dance with DramaZone

Taught by the pros at the DramaZone® this class is extremely popular!  A cutting-edge Hip Hop /K-Pop style dance class with lots of great moves. Let’s go “Somewhere Over The Rainbow” together in this as we reimagine the classic story. Red-Light-Green-Light takes us through a twister and into incredible lands. Get interviewed in a Munchkin talk show about your special profession and how you really feel about the Witch. In this interactive course, children will learn to utilize automatic and manual DSLR cameras while practicing various still photography techniques. Each class focuses on a specific fun activity or challenge, which may include exploring outdoor photography, diving into the fundamentals of composition, accomplishing the daily color challenge, experimenting with long exposure and glow sticks, making a doppelganger with double exposure, taking portraits of their friends, or building miniature sets for small-scale photography.
