Snack is provided daily, directly after school. ​

It’s the perfect way to unwind, explore, and have fun with friends after school!

Fashion is an important form of self-expression and creativity for children, even early on. This class will focus on learning about textiles, styles, patterns, basic design skills, and hand sewing. We will work on crafts together throughout the course and begin to develop our sense of style and confidence. We will present what we have been working on at the end of the semester with a "fashion show" for our parents and caregivers.
Mythology and Improv with Child's Play NY

Stoke your creativity, find your funny bone, and exercise your imagination in this dynamic theater arts and mythology class. Led by professional actors from Child's Play NY, students get to play with their peers and learn new games and story-telling techniques. The class involves gross-motor workouts that warm-up the actor's instrument, followed by improv and acting technique work. Young people learn how to think on their feet, work spontaneously and give their creativity a work-out. Classic myths and fables are the springboard for new stories. Intermediate and Advanced Chess with Togetherhood

Players will sharpen their skills through strategy-focused lessons, tactical challenges, and tournament-style play. Cooking with Milena

Milena returns to continue sharing the joy of cooking! Each week, she will provide a planned lesson featuring delicious recipes. Students will have the opportunity to influence the program by suggesting recipes for the following week. Students may work with whatever materials they wish/ have available to them, are encouraged to think creatively, and not limit themselves to traditional means of making art. Students can choose to work alone or collaboratively with their peers. Along the way, they will create metaphors, build tiny books, experiment with sculptural book forms, and follow their curiosities wherever they lead. The journey continues with a touchdown on the red planet where we establish a colony, build a rover, and orbit a satellite to explore the Martian landscape. Learn all about film shot composition, storyboarding, and visual storytelling by making your own comic book and digital animation! Participants will improve their drawing skills through the staging and drafting of an original visual story concept they create on paper. Teachers work with students to help them understand how to use the landscape of each panel and page to create a dynamic story with a delicate balance of artwork and language. Participants will dive into drawing techniques and create original characters and personalities. Next, the comic will be translated into a digital drawing, as kids learn to bring their comic to life using Procreate! Kids will learn frame-by-frame animation and make a short animation.
